What’s New For the Summer Re-Stock
The next RÈBÈLs RÄIDÈRs run is going to have a few meaningful updates across the board.
Nothing here is some giant “reinvent the wheel” situation. It is mostly the stuff that bothered me after looking at the last run, testing configurations, and figuring out where small changes could make the gear work better without turning it into overpriced boutique nonsense.
So here is the straightforward breakdown.
Official CRYE Precision MultiCam

MultiCam is coming, and it will be the real stuff.
Not “close enough.” Not mystery camo. Not “trust me bro, it looks like MultiCam if the lighting is bad.” This run will use officially licensed CRYE Precision MultiCam material. The larger pieces will use USA-made MultiCam nylon, Velcro, and CRYE webbing where it makes sense.
For some of the smaller webbing pieces, I’ll be keeping those coyote. That helps keep the cost reasonable without taking away from the actual function of the gear. It also keeps the kit from getting stupid expensive just because every tiny strip of webbing needs to match for Instagram autism points. The goal is simple: real MultiCam where it matters, smart material choices where it keeps the gear affordable.
NIR-Resistant Materials Across the Board

Another major change is that I’ll now have NIR-resistant webbing as well.
Previously, the nylon and Velcro were the big focus. Now the plan is to push that further across the system, including the webbing where applicable. That means the overall material package is getting more consistent and more serious. Nylon, Velcro, and now webbing are all moving in the right direction. Still can't get elastic down BUT I may just get a different source for that.
Again, I am not saying this turns you into a predator drone. It just means the gear is being built with better material standards than what you usually see at this price point.
The Väkärián is Now a 4 in one (Big Deal)
The updated Väkärián will include integrated front plate bag tabs and a Velcro-lined waist strap, giving the leftover plate bags and strap a second purpose when the system is converted into a RECCE rig.
Instead of unused components sitting in a closet, the waist strap can now secure the plate bags into a low-profile standalone carrier. Attach the female buckle to the front plate bag, route the waist strap through the rear plate bag, and lock it into the securing flap using the top-side Velcro.
Production versions will include three tab positions for better waist-size adjustment. Older Väkärián owners will also be able to retrofit their setup with standalone tabs and an updated waist strap with centerline Velcro.
Also, while taking the photos for this, a parakeet flew directly into my hand. I'm not even kidding. So Yüs… I guess I have two birds now.
Note: plate bags pictured is a sample, production will look much cleaner and my coyote webbing isn't Taco Bell poop colored.
Upgraded H-Harness

The H-harness is also getting an upgrade. The big change is the addition of rear D-rings. This should make the harness easier to use across different configurations, especially when switching between the chest rig setup, and RECCE configuration.
The previous version worked, but the rear webbing was more fixed in how it wanted to sit. With D-rings, the straps can move more naturally. They can angle diagonally or sit more vertically depending on your body, your loadout, and how you are running the system.
That sounds like a small thing, but anyone who has actually worn chest rigs for a while knows strap geometry matters. A setup can technically “work” and still feel annoying after a few hours. This should make the whole system more forgiving and more comfortable.
Apothecary Med Bag Sling Upgrade

The Äpothecary Med Bag is also getting a sling improvement. The top strap is being updated so it gets even closer to being a true standalone two-point sling setup. The four connection points at the end will now be positioned directly in the middle, which should make the bag function better when worn as a sling.
It already worked as a standalone bag, but this should make it cleaner, more balanced, and more natural to use. The whole idea behind the Äpothecary has always been flexibility. It can mount to kit, run as a med bag, work with different loadouts, and still be used by itself. This update pushes it further in that direction.
The Gizmo Glider Is Slightly Longer
The title pretty much says it all. A few people mentioned that the padded-side end of the GIZMØ GLÏDÈR was coming up a little short on thicker stocks like the BCM SOPMOD, so I made it a touch longer for a more universal fit. Also, Yüs, you’ll notice the two-tone look on the sling. I actually like it that way.
The Main Idea
None of these changes are random. The goal is not to make the gear more complicated. The goal is to make the gear work better across more configurations while keeping the pricing realistic.
Official CRYE MultiCam.
NIR-resistant nylon, Velcro, and webbing.
Upgraded H-harness geometry.
Upgraded Väkärián feautres
A better standalone sling setup for the Äpothecary.
GIZMØ GLÏDÈR remains un-defeated
That is the direction going forward.
Same basic idea as always: make good kit, keep it compatible, avoid proprietary nonsense, and improve the parts that actually matter.

Thanks for the updates! I hope to gear up with you whenever everything is in stock
I like the two-tone look on the Gizmo Glider, too. I will definitely pick up a few more of those as my rifles appear to be reproducing rapidly.
Missed the last run and searched for other rigs. Didn’t pull the trigger any and I’m glad I didn’t. multicam ain’t my thing but NIR is huge. Regardless stoked to get a rig when they become available.
Thank you much for the updates, effort, and integrity with which you are providing affordable gear for the modern minuteman!
Once again Rebel is providing for us POORS! Can’t wait to get more gear.
